Blogger Spotlight

I know I’m not the only girl whose Pinterest, Bloglovin and Instagram feeds are filled with images/posts from bloggers, these are the best places to get outfit or styling inspiration. I follow a handful of local bloggers – To Vogue Or Bust, Alicia Fashionista, Bleed For Fashion, The Starving Stylist and Discovering Elegance – the list could go on! (I actually went to Blanche Macdonald in Vancouver with Peter of The Starving Stylist and I remember when he was starting up his blog; keep up the great work love!) Then of course there are those bloggers that everyone knows, who mainly reside in the US, like Man Repeller, Devon Rachel, Cupcakes and Cashmere, Eat Sleep Wear and The Blonde Salad.

One of my absolute favourites though is Julia Engel of the fabulous blog Gal Meets Glam! This beauty is from San Fransisco,  California and has impeccable style. Her outfits are flawlessly styled, capture that classic look and she always looks amazing. Print mixing isn’t for everyone but this girl can pull it off! She also got married a little over a year ago and I definitely have looked to pictures from her wedding as inspiration for mine as well. Also she’s very good at making a ponytail look good (or any updo for that matter) which is something I’ve yet to accomplish. I’ve gathered some of my favourite outfit posts from her blog (there are far too many to choose from!) to share with you. Now it’s time for me to do some outfit planning myself for the work week ahead.

Happy Sunday!

STACT

I recently discovered a company called STACT. They have designed a revolutionary wine rack that is modern, minimalist and modular. When I first went on their website I read this “STACT isn’t a wine rack. It’s an interior décor piece that stores wine in a beautiful way.” That is exactly what I want in a wine a rack! The wine rack was designed in San Francisco by Eric Pfeiffer and is now based in Vancouver – Another plus! What I love about the wine rack is that you can use it in a small location in your house or you can really make a statement piece with any design you can come up with. Here are some examples from STACT’s website of ways their wine rack has been used.

Okay so I might be totally obsessed with STACT but it’s an interior designers dream wine rack, the possibilities are endless!  I am definitely craving a glass of wine now. Have a good weekend everyone!

Moroccan Poufs!!

Moroccan Leather Poufs!!

a21b8cdd4a48115fd1ddb15f3424056d

I am so in love with moroccan leather poufs! They come in just about any color you can think of, different sizes and can be used in any room. These poufs are handcrafted, made from genuine leather and are made by artisans in Morocco. They are great because they can be used as footstools, extra seating or just used as decor. My personal favorite are the white, gold and baby pink colored ones! These adorable poufs can get pricey though, averaging at about $350 or more. There are some great stores in the Vancouver area that sells these cute poufs like The Cross Decor and Design. Or another popular store Tazi Designs that is located in San Francisco make custom poufs and can be ordered online.

I hope you are just as in love with moroccan leather poufs as I am! Now the hardest part is choose what color to get! Here are some poufs and some inspiration on where and how to use them!
